The royal family has finally welcomed a baby boy! I'm sure that Kate and William will have a substantial crew to make the early days and nights of parenthood as gentle as possible, but regardless, every new mom has basic needs to be met.
Here are just a few of my unconventional gift picks for Kate & new mommies:
-Zico Chocolate Coconut Water: Coconut water is a great gift for sleep deprived, thirsty mommas. One might think that the earth could dry up from post-pregnancy water consumption. Coconut water is super hydrating, nourishing and packed with nutrition. The chocolate flavor combined with coconut water is off-the-charts delicious!! I always bring Coconut Water as a gift when the baby arrives!
-Woolino Sleep Sack: Of course, my wooly love extends beyond Vielet. Merino wool is fantastic for babies for its superior ability to manage moisture, body temperature, and allow the skin to breathe. Conventional sleep sacks are made from polyester fleece, synthetic blends or cotton which trap in sweat and drool, along with other unpleasant baby odors.
-Night Light: Night lights are an easy item to overlook, and are not typically found on a baby registry guide. After our first night home from the hospital, I sent my husband out to buy a few night lights from Target. It's easy to trip and fall in the darkness when awaking for feedings and diaper changes. There are unique night lights on Etsy, like this one featuring forest animals from the shop "babymamma1."
-Vielet Tata Merino Wool Tank: This tank is stretchy, forgiving, and easy to wear for breastfeeding mommies. The natural merino wool fabric is comfortable all day long for bedtime, naps, workouts, doctor visits and more. Merino wool does not hold odor like synthetic fabrics, easily cleans in the washing machine, and dries quickly. New Mommy Kate can even wear it under a Chanel jacket! The natural merino material looks and feels luxurious while functioning well in any endeavor.
-And a lot of love, warmth and heartfelt congratulations are always a welcome gift!
